Orb Performers

Orb works with a growing number of musicians, both service-users and volunteers, to create a wide range of unique and original music. Here are just a few of the groups and individuals who help make Orb such a vibrant place.

Fronted by long time Orb associate Mark Hemingway and also featuring Lobo’s Jake Davy in the line-up, The Complaint’s roots lie in old school punk bands like The Damned and The Sex Pistols. A respected and long standing fixture on the Harrogate gig scene, The Complaints regularly perform at Orb benefits and use its studio facilities.

Brew Ha Ha

Formed in early 2009 by Orb regulars Dave Moore (bass) and John Nahon (drums), Brew Ha Ha features Japanese Fighting Fish frontman Karl Thompson on vocals and guitars. Quickly graduating from classic rock covers to a set of original material, Brew Ha Ha are now a force to be reckoned with and played a set at Orb’s 2009 FEVA festival showcase.
